I can trace my passion for finances all the way back to childhood. From selling my grandmother pieces of my artwork for 25 cents to figuring out the most efficient way to mow lawns and shovel driveways, I have had this burning desire to reach financial goals for as long as I can remember. In college, that desire manifested in a passion for investing in stocks in the go-go late 90s. After college, I took a job in the technology sector because that is where I thought I could reach my financial goals at the time. Over the course of 20 years in the technology field managing large systems implementations, I had this feeling that I didn’t love my job, but I didn’t hate it either. I continually assumed increasing responsibility and, of course, the financial rewards associated with that. But there was something missing. I didn’t feel like I was part of a larger story.

Then in 2016, in my late 30s, I married the first woman I ever fell in love with. This changed things. I had a renewed sense of confidence, purpose and passion. I wanted to fully live out my passion of reaching financial goals but as part of a larger story. The larger story is you, my community. I wake up every day eager to get to work, to understand what is important to you, to develop strategies to help you reach your financial goals and to partner with you over life’s long journey.
